When your reputation is founded on high performance and visceral driving pleasure, transformation to the latest paradigm is that much more difficult.
But Lamborghini look to be more than up to the challenge with the breathtaking new Evuelto, the first super sports V12 hybrid High Performance Electic Vehicle (HPEV).
“The new Revuelto is a unique and innovative sports car,” said Stephan Winkelmann, Lamborghini Chairman and CEO, “But at the same time faithful to our oDNA: the V12 is an iconic symbol of our super car sports heritage and history.”
“Revuelto was born to break the mold, combining a new 12-cylinder engine with hybrid technology, creating the perfect balance between delivering the emotion that our clients want with the necessity to reduce emissions.”

The maximum efficiency aerodynamics of this stunning beast are obvious at a glance. Hidden beneath that gleaming skin of lustrous paint is a new carbon frame concept. And carbon fiber is used not just for the monofuselage and frame but many elements of the bodywork. With other lightweight materials and amazing powertrain,
The Revuelto has the best weight to power ratio in the history of Lamborghini: 1.75 kg/CV.

The powertrain combines a new 127 CV/litre combustion energy at the rear wheels, working synergically with two front axial flux motors providing traction to the front claws PLUS a radial flux electric motor sitting above the first eight-speed double-clutch gearbox debuting on this 12-cylinder Lamborghini. The third motor pushes extra power to the rear, depending on which of thirteen drive modes is selected.
The three electric motors are powered by a lithium-ion high specific power (4,500W/kg) battery pack that also supports a fully electric drive mode.

Which translates to acceleration from 0-100 km/h in 2.5 breathtaking seconds, and a top speed north of 350 km/h/

Everything about the Revuelto is designed to look, feel and go fast!

The Y-shape light signature is the first step in the new era of Lamborghini’s iconic flagship cars. The philosophy is to make the driver “feel like a pilot”.
The driver and passenger sink into the Y-shaped dashboard and centre console.
It feels like the most luxurious racing car possible with intuitive balance between physical and digital controls.
If you’re starting to dream about popping one of these beautiful beasts in the garage, you’ll be pleased to know there is more options for personalising your Revuelto than you’re likely to need.
While this stunning burnt orange is beyond gorgeous – you can choose between 400 shades. No, that is not a mis-type. There are four HUNDRED bodywork colours from which to choose to make the Revuelto truly your very own unique adventure. Perfect coordination should be achievable, inside and out – with seventy colour options for the interior which combines fine leather with Corsa-Tex microfibre and lashings of carbon fibre accents.
The new L545 engine has a 6.5L capacity and is rotated at 180 degrees compared to the previous Aventador unit and is 17kg lighter, weighing in at just 218kg. Putting out 825CV at 9,250 rpm it has the highest output in Lamborghini’s history of 12-cylinder engines and maximum torque is 725Nm at 6,750 rpm.
The lightweight high power lithium ion battery is housed within the transmission tunnel in the centre of the chassis to help achieve those all-important emission reductions.
But most importantly the unique soundtrack that wins the hearts of Lamborghini fans is preserved.
Engineers have worked hard to emphasise the tone of the engine for melodious low revs that rise to a natural and harmonious crescendo of thunderingly awesome performance.
Yep, you want one. I know I do…..
