INEOS Automotive aren’t going to rest on their Grenadier wheels – they’ve just announced that they are going to prove that electric 4×4 is not only possible, it can be made a reality.

The zero-emission vehicle will be smaller than the Grenadier but the promise is for genuine off-road capability. The groundbreaking 4×4 will be developed in conjunction with industry-leading automotive supplier, Magna, and built at its Graz facility in Austria (pictured).

And there’s a handy mountain nearby for proving the new vehicle’s off-road credentials.

The intent is to start production in 2026.

“Having worked together on the engineering of the Grenadier, we’ve seen first-hand the value of applying Magna’s agility, knowledge, and experience to a complete vehicle development programme. Deepening our collaboration is a natural next step as we use the Grenadier as a springboard for our continued growth as a global automotive brand with this third model line,” explained Lynn Calder, CEO of INEOS Automotive.
