Alfa Romeo Australia has just announced the MY23 Giulia and Stelvio range is now complete with the release of their flagship Quadrifoglio “QV” models, available in Australian dealerships. Starting at base vehicle prices of $153,700 for the Giulia QV and $162,700 for the Stelvio QV, these models are sure to impress.
The “QV” logo embodies the essence of Alfa Romeo’s noble italian sportsmanship and is featured on their top-tier cars. For those who demand the highest levels of quality in style, comfort and performance, the Giulia and Stelvio QV models are surely up to the task.
To celebrate 100 years of the Quadrifoglio, Alfa Romeo Australia was lucky enough to secure eight of the exclusive Giulia and Stelvio QV special 100 Anniversario editions.
Sadly, for most of us, and to be expected, all eight vehicles sold out in record time, as the total global production was limited to only 100 examples of each of the anniversary models.
The arrival of the new Quadrifoglio Giulia and Stelvio QV models will propel Alfa Romeo into the future, combining classic Italian aesthetics with cutting-edge features to deliver ultimate in sassy sportiness and eye widening performance.
The QV range has been updated significantly with the introduction of a new mechanical limited-slip differential. This upgrade for better torque transfer and stability optimises the car’s behaviour and on road traction, increasing its agility and cornering speed while giving the driver improved responsiveness and feel. All these benefits add up to the vehicle’s dynamic and sporty performance character.
The 2.9L V6 bi-turbo engine is the star of the show with its 375kW of peak power and 600Nm torque that accelerates Stelvio QV from 0 – 100km in 3.8 seconds or Giulia QV in a scorching 3.9 seconds.
Cylinders’ Efficient Management (CEM) technology adds to this impressive performance by deactivating three cylinders, reducing fuel consumption without sacrificing power. The 50/50 weight distribution, combined with a mechanical LSD, QV active suspension, integrated brake system, Q4 AWD System (Stelvio only), active front aero splitter (Giulia only) and optional carbon ceramic brakes provide an exceptional Alfa driving experience.
Giulia and Stelvio QV provide peace of mind, safety, and convenience, with their Level 2 ADAS as standard. Drivers can take advantage of active blind spot assist with rear cross traffic alert, lane keep assist, active cruise control, driver behaviour warning, forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, front and rear parking sensors, as well as a rear back-up camera with dynamic gridlines.
The design of the updated Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio QV models clearly embody an Italian flair sure to capture attention.
A classic Trilobo grille, merged with the lower grilles, holds fast to the spirit of Alfa Romeo while remaining modern and up-to-date.
The QV models are easily distinguishable from other variations in the range, thanks to the bold and exclusive bumper design combined with sporty bonnet inlets. These features mask the 375kW 2.9L V6 bi-turbo engine that lies beneath them.
Style is combined with practicality in the QV range. Both models incorporate light carbon fibre parts, including the driveshaft, while Giulia has a carbon fibre bonnet, spoiler and side skirts for an added sporty touch. An exposed carbon fibre roof can also be selected as an optional extra. In addition, the black roof antenna ties in with the black grille, mirrors, and wheels to complete the look.
The QV models now feature state-of-the-art adaptive “3+3” full-LED Matrix headlights, with 15 different LED segments for optimal lighting in any weather. The modern “U” shape design is a contemporary interpretation of the Alfa Romeo heritage and includes the Adaptive Front Lighting System, Glare-Free High beam Segmented Technology and Welcome/Goodbye animations. Both cars boast refreshed light clusters at the rear to enhance their sporty allure: the Giulia QV taillights come with smoked glossy black finish, while Stelvio QV has new transparent taillights.
Entering the car, drivers are immediately met with the state-of-the-art 12.3” TFT screen featuring a Cannocchiale design, which can come in three layouts – Evolved, Relax and Heritage. Those opting for the Quadrifoglio will also gain access to a unique Race layout, where the tachometer, speedometer and shift light are all displayed on the central screen for manual drivers. Furthermore, they can personalise the display by adding performance snapshots in the sidebars.
The interior of the QV features a variety of carefully chosen elements, such as a 3D finish with genuine carbon fibre on the dash, doors and centre console. Other inclusions are the standard Alcantara steering wheel with red starter button, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charger and dual zone AC. To top it off, there are also heated and electric front seats for added convenience.
